Q. How are the two pictures related?
A. Dying species.
The picture on the right is of Satyendra Dubey. Wiki has this to say about him.
The case of Satyendra Dubey was closed on March 22nd, 2010, and three nobodys were convicted for his murder. It has been concluded that the motive for the murder was resistance to armed robbery. Ya right, we believe that.
In 2003, there was a big hue and cry that prompted an investigation into the matter by the CBI. The paying public asked for the heads of everybody involved, including the people that leaked the letter from the PMO. They also asked for a WhistleBlower Act, to prevent such incidents happening in the future. A lot of people hoped, some even expected, something significant to happen.
Roll back to the present. Surprise, surprise.
When the news came out then, a lot of people, despite the public accolades and anger, thought privately “What an idiot.”
Today, I agree with them. “What an idiot.”
I think it’s important to save these idiots from themselves, if only to show to my children what one looks like. Everybody with a little bit of common sense knows that the law on the ground for Whistleblowers is the Death Penalty. But the idiots can’t figure that out, because they go by what’s written. Well-wishers and enemies both try to make them see reason, but they opt for the written word, because it is in black and white.
So I’m asking that the written law be amended to what exists on the ground. I’m asking for a law that awards the Death Penalty to the WhistleBlower.
This is the only way to save idiots who resemble the one in the picture. So, if you give a damn, please sign this simple letter and send it to me.
“I, ……, the undersigned, do solemnly declare that I wish to be part of the effort to save idiots like Satyendra Dubey, and ask for a formal law that dictates that the Death Penalty be given to Whistleblowers, to act as a deterrent to the foolhardy act of attempting to spill the beans on any financial mishandling that the government’s representatives wish to be part of.”
If I get 2000 signatures, I will file a petition in the Supreme Court to ask for the law.
No, I’m not joking.
